Harriet Dudley Psychotherapy
I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and couples’ counsellor. Although I’m based in Hastings, East Sussex, I am currently only working online using Zoom or Skype. In 2023 I hope to be able to welcome clients in person to my quiet home office.
If you’re struggling with emotional or physical pain, stress, depression or anxiety, I can provide a safe and confidential space to talk and begin your recovery.
I see the therapeutic process as collaborative – we will look at what your aims and objectives might be, and how we can work together to achieve them.

Couples counselling
If you are experiencing painful disconnection in your relationship and you are unsure whether you want to stay together, I can provide a safe space for you to learn how to stop the repetitive cycles of conflict that you keep finding yourselves in, repair long-held injuries, and feel close again.
I’m a trained and experienced practitioner in an approach to working with couples that is known as Emotionally Focussed Therapy for Couples (EFT). Recent years have seen a growth of EFT both in the UK and around the world not only because of its status as an evidence-based treatment, but also because the EFT approach focuses on the development of emotional intelligence and on the importance of secure relationships. Because of these emphases, EFT offers an alternative to more traditional approaches to helping couples that often focus on negotiation or compromise, but miss the underlying emotions and relational needs.
